Generate tags for images
An image tagging model attempts to understand the content of an image and apply tags based on recognisable objects, living beings, scenery and actions. The following demonstration uses Microsoft's Azure Computer Vision service and Amazon's Rekognition service to apply tags to an image. Each service uses their own image tagging model, trained to recognise different objects and scenery, so results may vary.
Instructions
- Select a sample image below, upload one of your own or take a picture using your webcam.
- Once the image has been analysed the results will be shown below. Image tags will be displayed in a box in the upper-right corner of the image, along with the confidence with which the image tagging model has applied each tag to the image.

All images analysed using this demo are stored for 24 hours and then automatically deleted using Microsoft's Azure data lifecycle management.
Things to consider
The tags used for the images are only as good as the training data.
